Systemic Therapy has its roots in Family Therapy. Rather than focusing on an individual person and seeing a problem as being located within them, Systemic Therapy explores people in relation to one another and understands difficulties as coming from the patterns of interaction between people.
Systemic Therapy is effective with a wide range of child, adolescent and adult psychological difficulties.
Therapy -
This usually focuses on the family but can take account of wider systems such as work, education, or the community.
Together, the Therapist and the family develop an understanding of unhelpful patterns of interacting and discover more helpful solutions to the challenges faced by the family.
